After two days off our own bikes we were chasing the independence of being back on the road. Cheap wobbly mopeds we hired from our hostel provided these opportunities. Heading out into the chaos that is the traffic around Kuta was at first a little nerve racking but quickly we were able to feel comfortable in the rush of mopeds around us. It was an amazing experience which has changed my perspective on what road travel can be and further increased my anger at the slow road work zones back at home.
Riding through the back streets of Kuta was an adventure within itself, thirsty and hungry we pulled into a place which had the kind of vibe we were after. Jonsey the proprietor was a true rad cat who was choka block full of local info and stoked on our journey.
