We visited the Killing Fields at Cheoueng Ek today. I’m not a good enough writer to accurately convey my feelings or the impact it had on me. Kids were killed here. I miss my son. All I want to do is go home and cuddle him and look after him and never leave again. I knew I would miss my family but I didn’t think it would constantly hurt in the pit of my stomach. This is one of those days I am asking myself what the f*ck am I doing on the other side of the planet on a motorbike?
I remind myself of how lucky I am, all the opportunity I have been given (in my whole life, not just for this trip), and I note that loved ones that don’t believe in the trip have still supported me. I hope that these people know I appreciate them but most of all I miss my wife and son.
